HIT KIT FAQs
The HIT KIT includes everything a drummer needs—bass/kick, snare, hi-hat with cymbals, seat, and sticks—all in a rolling suitcase. The suitcase serves as the kick drum and holds the other components; pedal, snare drum, hi-hat, hardware, seat, and sticks. The HIT KIT is adaptable to individual preferences with three brackets to accommodate personal positioning and additional equipment. Easily adaptable for lefties!
Can I pick the color of my portable case?
No. We keep our HIT KITS affordable by using whatever colors our suitcase manufacturer has in stock. In turn, you share in the savings! Our motto is, “Love the one you’re with.”
What colors do the portable cases come in?
The HIT KIT suitcases currently come in black, red, orange, green, blue, pink, gold, and “champagne.”
How much does the HIT KIT weigh?
30 lbs.
How long does it take to set up and break down?
You can set up your HIT KIT in less than 15 minutes. Break down and pack up takes about 10 minutes. The best part is you don’t have to lug it around—just roll it!
Does it travel easily?
Yes! The HIT KIT travels just like a suitcase. It travels easily on the bus or even by skateboard or motorcycle! As for “traveling”—when the kick/bass drum creeps away from the drummer as s/he kicks the beat—the HIT KIT is equipped with slide-resistant footings and traction pads to inhibit creep.
What do you mean when you say the HIT KIT is adaptable?
The HIT KIT case comes with three side brackets. We provide the snare drum, which occupies one bracket. The other two brackets will accommodate tom-toms, cymbals, blocks, bells—whatever you’d like to add to your HIT KIT drum set.
What’s a can-bell?
It’s a can turned cowbell.
How loud is it?
With portability comes a compromise in largeness and, so, loudness. The HIT KIT sound is authentic and solid. The HIT KIT rewards finesse over muscle.
I don’t have the space to accommodate a full drum set. Will a HIT KIT fit?
The HIT KIT measures 26” x 20” x 11.” It fits in a closet, under a bed, and in the trunk of a small car. When set up to play (including the drummer), it occupies 3’ x 4’ (allow for extension per personal dimensions).
Can’t I make something myself, and cheaper?
Our business model says, “No.” You can assemble something that will suffice, but for the money, time, effort, and the success, you will get more rhythm out of a HIT KIT.
